Celebrating International Women’s Day Across SBFE
On March 8th, for the International Women’s Day (IWD) we celebrated the achievements of women everywhere across our business. At Suntory, we choose to value and nurture female talent across our organisation, and we challenge barriers that stand in the way of progression and everyone being their best self.
Across SBFE our employees came together to increase awareness of IWD by participating in an external social media campaign. Across LinkedIn our employees and leaders shared their stories, demonstrated their support and raised their hand :
“I feel fortunate to have spent the majority of my career being directly managed by inspirational women leaders, and I will do my best to provide the platform for equal career opportunities to every woman in the field to become the future leaders of tomorrow.” With 80% women on the team, our R&D Director Nik Funnell is doing an excellent job in promoting female talent in STEM
“I will make every efforts to create an environment which enables woman to achieve their fulliest potential”. Our Managing Director ALEXIS DAEMS is putting words into actions: since he joined SBF EECM-Benelux, not even a year ago, we have two additional women on our executive committee and with our new Flexible Working Policy we're adapting to suit all our employee's needs. It is a proved tool to enable more women, working parents and carers to enter and excel in the workplace.
I #ChooseToChallenge on International Women’s Day because I want my sons to grow up in a world that is more equal than the one we live in today. I will create an environment that supports women’s equality and celebrates their achievements.
